Motorsport teams now have a greater access to innovative new products for their racing pursuits with the introduction of Rampage Racing Products.
Racing teams without access to development workshops or with smaller budgets for accessories can now turn to Rampage.store for specialist items like drink systems, cool suits and quick release drink and radio attachments.
Founded by Mike Elkington, a race mechanic and engineer with over 20 years experience, Mike drew on his product development background to provide a new avenue of products for all support categories and endurance racing.
“After I finished working for Supercar teams, and begun working with these smaller teams in support categories, I saw a real need for them to have access to the kinds of products the Supercar teams could create themselves like the quick release dry breaks,” said Mike.
“Previously teams would have to go to Triple Eight or GRM to get these products, they were quite expensive and as they were designed for V8 Supercars they don’t really suit their cars,”
“I wanted to supply all teams big and small with the quality products they need, at an affordable price,” Mike said
Rampage’s quick release dry break connections are universally compatible for all cars and systems.
A strong collaboration with Garth Walden Racing has seen Rampage products installed and tested in several GWR cars across different series including Australian GT, Porsche Carrera Cup, GT Challenge, Production Cars and recently in two Mercedes A45s running in this years Bathurst 6 Hour endurance race.
GWR was founded by Garth Walden in 2013 a previous Supercar driver, three time World Time Attack Champion and 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup competitor.
Garth said, “We’ve worked closely with Mike, to help develop these products and put them through a lot of testing and we’ve been really impressed.”
A recent collaboration with GWR sees Rampage solely supply the team with all their connections and drink systems across their extensive range of competition cars.<
“Garth has been a big inspiration for the products as he provides a team owner and a drivers perspective,” said Mike.
“We’ve got some exciting new products and other collaborations in the pipeline which I’m really looking forward to getting out there.”
Through his partnership with Flipside 3D, using the latest 3D Printing technology and manufacturing techniques, Mike can design and create products and prototypes to suit any application.
“If you can imagine it, I can create it. And that’s really exciting,” said Mike.
“Rampage is growing so fast, it’s unlike any other racing product store out there.”
